Your favourite lamp could be making your wall look less-than-special. make sure it doesn’t by learning how lights can change your wall's appearance. Lights determine the effect of colour on a wall and the overall look of the room to a large extent. Colours that look just right in sunlight may change dramatically under artificial or fluorescent lighting. Consider these three types of lighting when planning your interiors.

yellow light

This type of light (mostly from bulbs) casts a yellow aura onto objects and surfaces in the vicinity. Warm colours, such as red, orange, and shades from the yellow family, tend to go well with yellow light.

white light

Lights like tube lights cast a fluorescent, white aura onto the objects and surfaces in the room. Cool colours, such as blue, violet, and shades from the purple family go well with white light.

daylight

Natural sunlight dramatically impacts a room’s colour. Rooms with less daylight need to be painted with light or pastel shades, while rooms with ample sunlight can be painted in dark shades.
